RULES, TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. ENROLMENT
Before any student’s lesson times can be reserved, this enrolment form must be completed and signed.
Upon enrolment you are considered booked in for the full duration of the course.
2. FEES FOR COURSES
1. All course fees, except the sewing club are inclusive of the enrolment
2. Full payments as agreed must be paid before commencing sewing classes unless where a payment
arrangement is made.
3. Proof of payment must be emailed to info@sewandgrow.co.za Payment references must include your
name and surname.
4 Fees are not pro-rated for missed lessons after commencement. Catch up lessons where applicable,

5. Overlocker threading lessons are excluded from all courses, however, overlocker
threading lessons are optional and can be arranged at an additional cost.
6. Debit order forms will need to be filled in the case of the Sewing Club
7. Sewing Club enrolments are subject to Sewing Club Terms and Conditions.
3. CURRICULUM, PROJECT COMPLETION & TIME ALLOCATION
Sew and Grow courses are structured to accommodate the completion of all specified projects within the
allocated class time, which is based on average learning pace and equal access to instruction and
resources. Where a learner completes all required projects earlier than scheduled, due to faster
progression or additional individual attention, any remaining class time will be forfeited.
Unused classes or hours are not transferable to another student and may not be carried over to another
course. If a learner does not complete all required projects within the duration of the course, additional
classes may be arranged at an extra cost to enable the learner to meet the course outcomes.
4. USE OF PERSONAL SEWING MACHINES
Learners are encouraged to train on Sew and Grow machines during classes to ensure a consistent
learning pace. Learners who choose to use their own sewing machine will be required to book and pay for
a separate operational/orientation session for that machine, as individual machine setup may slow down
the standard class pace. Use of personal machines during class is permitted only after completion of the
operational session and subject to instructor approval.
5. ATTENDANCE AND MISSED LESSONS
Learners are required to attend all classes as scheduled for their enrolled course and booked lesson
times. If a lesson is missed, the learner may attend an alternative available class or follow-up session for
the same course or level, by prior arrangement only and subject to availability. Sew and Grow does not
guarantee that missed lessons can be made up.
Lessons missed on Saturdays may not be made up on subsequent Saturdays. Regular attendance is
essential, and repeated absences may affect progression or completion within the standard course time
frame. Sew and Grow reserves the right to manage class placements in line with timetable capacity and
operational requirements.
6. BOOKING YOUR CLASSES ONLINE
Once you are enrolled, a link will be sent to you to book your class. Please note that all bookings must be
done online at least 24 hours before the class. Should you need to cancel your class, it also needs to be
done 24 hours before the class in order to get a catch up class.
7. REFUNDS
Fees are not refundable or transferable
Please note: This expiry applies to courses only. All course classes expire six months after the date of
payment. This clause does not apply to Sewing Club memberships.
8. LOSS AND DAMAGES
The student/guardian/parent hereby indemnifies Sew and Grow and its employees against all or any other
claims, loss and/or damages arising out of or resulting from personal injury, loss of personal items or any
loss suffered by the student. Sew and Grow will not be held liable for loss of personal injury or property.

images, branding, and processes provided by Sew and Grow Sewing School remain the exclusive intellectual
property of Sew and Grow.

electronically any Sew and Grow material on any platform to any other person.

serious breach and may result in legal action.
10. STAFF NON-SOLICITATION & NON-CIRCUMVENTION
All instructors, teachers, facilitators, and staff members are engaged by Sew & Grow Sewing School and provide
training exclusively through Sew & Grow programmes.
The student (or parent/guardian) agrees that they shall not, during enrolment or for a period of 12 months thereafter:
Solicit, recruit, engage, or employ any Sew & Grow teacher or staff member for private lessons, paid or unpaid,
outside of Sew & Grow
Attempt to arrange training, assistance, or services directly with any Sew & Grow teacher or staff whether during
or after enrolment;
Use personal communication with staff to bypass, undermine, or circumvent Sew & Grow in any manner.

Immediate termination of enrolment without refund
Liability for damages suffered by Sew & Grow; and
Sew & Grow reserving the right to pursue legal relief, including interdictory or injunctive relief, where applicable.
11. LEARNER SUPPORT & SPECIAL NEEDS DISCLOSURE
Sew and Grow is committed to supporting all learners and recognises that some students may require
additional assistance or accommodation.
Parents/guardians or adult learners are required to disclose any special needs, learning difficulties,
medical conditions, or support requirements at the time of enrolment so that appropriate arrangements
can be considered.
While every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate such learners, Sew and Grow cannot
guarantee that learners requiring additional support will complete the course within the standard
timeframe allocated to other students. In certain cases, additional lessons or extended training time may
be necessary for the learner to achieve the required course outcomes.
Any additional lessons, support sessions, or extended training required will be billed separately and
shall remain the financial responsibility of the parent/guardian or enrolling party.
12..PHOTOGRAPHY & MARKETING USE
Photographs and/or videos may be taken during classes for Sew and Grow (SAG) marketing and
promotional purposes, including use on social media, the Sew and Grow website, and printed material.
Adult learners who do not wish to be photographed are requested to inform the instructor or
photographer at the start of the class, and reasonable steps will be taken to avoid capturing their image.
All images and recordings will be used responsibly and respectfully for legitimate marketing purposes
only.
Sew and Grow will not use any images for unlawful, inappropriate, misleading, or harmful purposes,
and no personal or identifying information will be shared without further consent.
For learners under the age of 18, consent must be provided by a parent or legal guardian.
13.TEACHER ALLOCATION & REQUESTS
Teacher allocation is managed solely by Sew & Grow, based on availability, scheduling, and
programme requirements.
Students may suggest or request a preferred teacher, and Sew & Grow will make reasonable efforts to
accommodate such requests where possible.
However, teacher requests are not guaranteed, and students may not select, change, or insist on a
specific teacher as a condition of enrolment, continued participation, or progress within any course or
programme.
If a student has a concern, difficulty, or issue relating to a teacher, they are required to raise the matter
directly with Sew & Grow management, and not with the teacher concerned.
Students are welcome to call, message, or email Sew & Grow using the official contact details provided
on this enrolment form so that the matter may be addressed appropriately.
Direct private communication with instructors regarding scheduling, complaints, or private arrangements
is not permitted and must be managed through Sew & Grow administration.
14. SEWING CLUB TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. ATTENDANCE OPTION & COMMITMENT PERIOD
At enrolment, the student selects an attendance option (number of classes per month).
The selected option determines the monthly fee and the minimum commitment period
Minimum commitment periods are as follows:
16 classes per month → 6-month commitment
12 classes per month → 8-month commitment
8 classes per month → 12-month commitment
During the minimum commitment period, cancellation by the student is not permitted.
2. DEBIT ORDER (PREFERRED PAYMENT METHOD)
Sewing Club fees are payable monthly via debit order.
Students are required to complete a debit order authorisation unless they opt for manual payment as outlined
below.
3. MANUAL PAYMENT OPTION (ADMIN FEE APPLIES)
Students who choose not to pay via debit order may pay monthly via EFT or cash, subject to a monthly
administration fee of R150 to cover manual invoicing and administration.
MANUAL PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE IN ADVANCE BY THE DUE DATE COMMUNICATED BY SEW &
GROW.
4. IF A DEBIT ORDER FAILS
If a debit order fails for any reason, the student must:
• Settle the full monthly fee via EFT within 48 hours, and
• Pay the applicable administration fee for manual processing.
SEW & GROW DOES NOT RE-SUBMIT OR RE-DEBIT FAILED DEBIT ORDERS.
5. EARLY CANCELLATION BY THE STUDENT (BEFORE MINIMUM COMMITMENT ENDS)
If a student cancels Sewing Club before completing the selected minimum commitment period, an early
cancellation fee will apply.
The early cancellation fee will be the greater of:
Two (2) months’ Sewing Club fees, or
The difference between the Sewing Club rate paid and the standard class rate for the period attended.
THE EARLY CANCELLATION FEE BECOMES IMMEDIATELY PAYABLE UPON CANCELLATION.
EARLY CANCELLATION DOES NOT WAIVE ANY OUTSTANDING FEES, FAILED PAYMENTS, OR
AMOUNTS DUE UNDER THE MINIMUM COMMITMENT PERIOD.
6. ATTENDANCE, MISSED CLASSES & CANCELLATION AFTER COMMITMENT
Once the minimum commitment period has been completed, Sewing Club membership continues on a month to-month basis, subject to one full calendar month’s written notice.
Attendance options are based on the number of classes booked per month, not classes attended. Missed
classes are not refundable, do not reduce fees, and do not alter the minimum commitment period.
Where a student cancels a scheduled class with at least 24 hours’ notice, a catch-up class may be offered
subject to availability. Catch-up classes may only be attended while membership is active and fully paid, are not
guaranteed, and are not available after cancellation or termination.
7. NON-PAYMENT
If payment (including any applicable admin fee) is not made within 48 hours of the due date:
Membership will be suspended
The enrolment seat will be forfeited
The original enrolment fee will be lost
If the student wishes to return, they will be required to re-enrol as a new student and pay the enrolment fee
again (subject to availability).
Non-payment does not cancel the contract or waive any outstanding fees owed under the minimum
commitment period.
☐ I UNDERSTAND THAT MY SELECTED ATTENDANCE OPTION DETERMINES MY MINIMUM
COMMITMENT PERIOD, THAT EARLY CANCELLATION BY THE STUDENT IS NOT PERMITTED DURING
THIS PERIOD, AND THAT MISSED CLASSES DO NOT REDUCE FEES OR ALTER MY CONTRACTUAL
OBLIGATIONS.
