Step-by-step classes for complete beginners. Everything provided.
You've been thinking about learning to sew for a while now.
Maybe years. You've stood in the fabric aisle and walked out empty-handed — because where would you even start? You've Googled "beginner sewing machine" and closed 47 tabs. Maybe you tried following a tutorial once and ended up with a knotted mess and a sore back.
And the same question keeps coming back:
"Can I actually do this?"
(Every single one of our 1,000+ students asked themselves the same thing.)
Real students. Real classes. This is what your first day could look like.
I'm Fatima Fazal. I've been teaching sewing for over 30 years — and honestly, the best part of my job is still the same: watching someone finish their first project and realise they actually did it.
My classes are small on purpose. I want to be at your shoulder when you need me, not across the room helping ten other people. Everything is set up when you walk in — machine, fabric, tools, notes. All you have to do is sit down.
Most of my students had never touched a sewing machine before their first class. Some were nervous. Some thought they'd be terrible. Every single one of them surprised themselves.
"I don't expect you to believe you can do this yet. That's my job. You'll believe it when you're holding what you made."

"The moment a student holds up their first finished project and their face changes — that's why I teach. That moment never gets old. Not after 30 years. Not after 1,000 students."

Machine — ready. Fabric — ready. Tools — ready. Teacher — ready. The only thing missing is you.
By the end of your first course, you'll hold something up and think: "I can't believe I made this."

"A safe, welcoming, wholesome space where everyone is encouraging. These classes have been very beneficial for my mental health."
"The teaching is top notch, very attentive to each person. I finally feel like I'm actually learning — not just watching someone else sew. 10/10 will recommend."
"The support, guidance, and expertise made the journey enjoyable and educational. The staff is passionate and friendly. I'm already signing up for the next level."
Most of our students don't start businesses — they just love being able to make what they want, when they want. And that's the whole point.
A nurse who sews scrubs for her entire ward. A grandmother whose whole family learned at her kitchen table. Every one of them started right where you are — wondering if they could.
What starts as a beginner class has a way of becoming something much bigger. Some students come for a cushion cover and leave with a wardrobe. Others discover they can earn from it.
Here's what "I just wanted to try sewing" turned into:
Sewing is the only hobby that can pay your rent.
